How to Design a Custom Cricket Jersey for Your Team

By SPORTY Fit Wear · 2026-10-10

A good cricket jersey design looks great from the boundary, in team photos and on a phone screen. You do not need to be a designer — a few simple decisions make most of the difference.

1. Pick two main colours and one accent

Choose two main team colours and one accent colour for details such as the collar, cuffs or a stripe. Too many colours make the design look busy and make names and numbers harder to read.

2. Think about contrast for names and numbers

Names and numbers must stand out from the background. Dark numbers on a light area or light numbers on a dark area are easiest to read. If the back of the jersey has a pattern, keep a calmer area where the name and number go.

3. Decide where logos go

  • Team crest: left chest is the most common place
  • Main sponsor: centre front
  • Second sponsor or league logo: sleeve
  • Name and number: back; a smaller number can also go on the front

4. Send the right files

Send your logo in the best quality you have. Vector files (AI, PDF, SVG or EPS) are ideal because they stay sharp at any size. A large, sharp PNG with a transparent background is the next best option. Avoid screenshots or logos copied from social media — they often look blurry when printed.

Tip: Not sure about the design? Send us a reference picture of a jersey you like plus your colours, and ask us to prepare a design for you to approve.

5. Check every spelling

Names are printed exactly as you send them. Ask one person to check the full player list before you confirm the order.
